| CATEGORY
OF CONTRACTORS: |
|
In KBJNL, 3 Category of class I PWD
Registered contractors have been formed for participation
in tenders that will be invited during the period 1st
Jan 2001 to 1st Jan 2003. The contractors enrolled in
these three categories are only eligible to participate
in tender costing as under
- Tender costing between Rs. 15
Crores to 20 Crores - Category I
- Tender costing between Rs. 3 Crores
to 15 Crores - Category II and above
- Tender costing below Rs. 3 Crores
- Category III and above.

| CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION: |
The following
criteria has been followed for enrollment of contractors
under Category I, Category II and Category III.
- CATEGORY NO. I / CATEGORY
NO. II:
- The blank application
for enrollment of the list of selected contractors
was made available only on furnishing the following
information/documents:
- An attested copy of the valid
Registration certificate of P.W.department, Government
of Karnataka.
- Certifid copy of the certificate
for having executed atleast one work under the
Government of Karnataka or Government of Karnataka's
Undertaking during the last five years.
- The criteria for qualifying
the contractors is as below
- Certified copy of the certificate
for having executed at least one single work of
similar type costing not less than Rs. 5 crores
for Category-I and Rs.2 Crores for Category -II
in the last five years.
Note: Executed works include works where 90% of
contract value has been executed.
- Annual turnover of the contractor
shall not be less than Rs. 6 Crores for category-I
and Rs.2 Crores for Category-II in any one of
the previous 5 years. Additional weightage of
10% per year will be given for turnover to bring
it to 2000-2001 level.
- The contractor / Firm should have the ownership
of atleast following category of machineries.

Government of Karnataka or Government of Karnataka's

- The criteria for qualifying
the contractors is as below
- Certified copy of the
certificate for having executed at least one single
work of similar type costing not less than Rs.
75 Lakhs in the last five years.
THE LIST OF CONTRACTORS WHO HAVE
BEEN ENROLLED/NOT ENROLLED UNDER CATEGORY I, II &
III ARE ENCLOSED IN ANNEXURE.
